Visual Inspection:

- Check the physical condition of the AC adapter plug to the laptop or notebook
- Inspect the DC jack port on the laptop or notebook for cracks or a bent pin
- Check for any signs the system may have been dropped
Test AC adapter for appropriate voltage output
Test to see if the system will power on before any repair is preformed to confirm the condition of the system
Disassemble system for internal inspection and to confirm DC jack type and damage
Note any additional parts or components damaged and quote replacements as required
Remove the damaged DC jack and install a replacement DC jack
Inspect the system fan(s) and check the thermal compound
Test system for power continuity
Reassemble the system and confirm power on
Install the battery and test for charging status
Test battery condition
Confirm that the system is able to connect to wired and wireless internet and function appropriately
