Status FAQ’s

At Bits and Bytes Computers we work on a first come first served basis. Each and every piece of equipment that we work on is a priority to us, and every computer is treated as if it were our own. We strive to provide the highest quality customer service.

Listed below is the different status’s in our work flow. When you check your service status you may see your repair in one of the following status. Should you have any questions please e-mail or call us.

Express: The equipment has been checked in and is awaiting an open spot on the bench. This is a status reserved for high priority work. Normally reserved for an additional fee or work that is a possible warranty. Contact us if your need your service expressed.

In-Shelf: The equipment has been checked in and is awaiting an open spot on a technicians bench.

Bench: The equipment is being evaluated  and serviced by one of our highly skilled technicians.

Hold Call: The technician has evaluated the equipment and needs further information to continue service,  or approval for additional parts or service. We will call with more details as soon as possible.

Hold Called: One of our staff members has contacted you. We are awaiting additional information or approval for replacement parts or additional services.

Approved Order: We have received approval for replacement parts and are in the process of ordering the equipment from our vendors. Once this process is complete the status will be updated to “Approved Waiting”.

Approved Waiting: We have received approval for additional services and parts. The replacement parts have been ordered and are awaiting the shipment to be received. Once all the parts and equipment is received the status will be updated to “Approved”.

Approved: We have received approval for additional services and or parts and have the parts for the repair. The equipment is awaiting an open spot on the bench for a technician to continue service.

Ready Call: All services have been completed to your equipment and the system is ready. We call to inform you the system is ready as soon as possible.

Ready Called: You have been contacted and informed that the equipment is ready to be picked up and we have been given a date for pickup. The equipment is awaiting payment and pickup.

Picked Up: You have paid for the parts and services and picked up the equipment.
